I just found this gem of a hack from two years ago. Seriously, it sucks. I knew so little about SMILE then. Feel free to screw around in it though. I think it stops some time into Brinstar, don't remember for sure though. For unheadered.

Definitely not the worst halfhack ever though. I've seen far worse. The atmosphere of Brinstar is particularly unique and there's some interesting tile design in places.

Ow. Suitless underwater sucks when you don't have high jump. About 10 minutes in, I lost patience and started playing the game at 200% speed. In short, I died. Also, there are tons of places you can get stuck.

Thank goodness Aegis will not be like this.

This was a half-assed half-hack I think I was working on about two years ago. I literally knew next to nothing about level design, appropriate challenge, creativity... man. "lol waturs fun guyz rite? lol flowing water"

I should mention Aegis has two brief pre-gravity underwater sequences: one is about four rooms long in the sewers and is over fairly quickly, the other is later in the game and is just a room or two of underwater grappling. Nothing like this... sad excuse for a hack. :P
