Yep, I've done it again. Pumping these things out like rabbits aren't I?

Well, my ideas wouldn't all fit in one hack, so I made some Puddin!

In this Puddin, you'll find hidden items, new paths, and the same old bosses, but the same old strategies won't work. (I even edited Kraid's room).

Save states will be needed, but not too extensively. The majority of the time I needed them was during boss fights.

Also, this hack requires:
1. Extensive use of the mockball and speedball, as well as some easier techniques such as walljumping and DBJ.
2. Varialess heated rooms, not too many though.
3. Ability to shortcharge(not super short, but smaller than just delaying the dash button) (savestates help)
4. Intuition and Creativity

Intuiton and Creativity are for not getting stuck, as some of the actions needed to proceed aren't obvious. However, Puddin is linear, and you shouldn't be wandering around for hours.

IBJ is never required for completion of this hack. If you can IBJ, you can get some items sooner, but if it looks like IBJ is necessary, there's another way.

Also, for those of you who want to know, the totals for 100% are (230 55 50).

Now, I'll address the posts (in advance) of: OMG it won't work, whats wrong with my rom?

I used the unheadered Super Metroid [JU](!).smc (I also used SMILE to patch the IPS file, and it all works like a charm). If you don't have the right rom, search engines are your best friend.

Now that all that's out of the way... I hope y'all enjoy your Puddin!

Yay!  First post.  I'll be trying this one before I finish gravy ;)

Luckily speed/mockballing is my cup of tea so i'll likely enjoy this one more.  (Not that gravy wasn't good)

By the way, why do all of your hack names have to do with food?

I think they are named after whatever he ate recently. :P

<Bloodsonic> He did make a video.
<@Acheron> Obviously I meant a new one, captain dorkus. I'm the pilot, you're just the random unnamed ensign, soon as we beam onto the planet's surface some alien's gonna put you in your place.

Very much sort of. I've had a really bad virus for the past week, so pudding, apple sauce, and soup were pretty much all I ate at all. Applesauce and soup didn't sound as cool as Puddin, so there ya go.

yes, first post edited. Got so used to it I wasn't thinking about that being hard. Although you should have enough energy by the time you get to the heated rooms to easily survive them once you find your way.

Nice to see you're moving quickly Fano

Thought of something else required, semi short charges. I updated the first post, but also put it here so everyone would notice. These charges are all possible in realtime, though I do recommend using savestates before you attempt one. Saves a lot of time if you fail the charge.

It seems very good so far.

Just beat phantoon.  So far I can say that this is a nice hack.  I like the level design and the difficulty makes it almost like a mini-impossible.  I'll have to finish this tomorrow though, zzz.

Thanks, and I placed those that way because right around that position in my testing, I nearly died. They also prevent the need of pause abuse, which I hate.
